AHS stands for Alfred Hirsch, Schwenningen, a German watch movement manufacturer based in Schwenningen am Neckar (Baden-Württemberg). The firm primarily produced pin-lever (Roskopf-type) ebauches aimed at the budget end of the market — a category that dominated volume German watch production in the postwar years.

A notable exception is the AHS 152 (1950s), which used a true Swiss pallet lever escapement, a screw balance with regulator arm, and an indirect center-seconds complication — significantly above the firm's typical output. The AHS 153 and related variants are also documented. AHS is poorly represented in published horological references and primarily served the volume domestic German trade.
