| Notes | Remarks: 1972- differences not known between 7801A, 7803A With the pusher at 8h the second hand is set to zero. If the minute hand is within 57...3min, it is also zeroed. Other data: balance staff: Citizen 039-87A (balance complete) stem: Citizen 065-164 mainspring / battery: 313 (original, mercury), 357 (replacement, silver odixe) unique calendar quickset: A link transfers the motion of the stem, depending on the position of the watch, to the date disk or the day disk. So if the watch is held with the 12 to the top, pushing the crown advances the date (Fig.3), with the 12 to the bottom the day (Fig.4). With pulled crown a post keeps the link between both positions, to prevent damage when setting the hands back over midnight (Fig.5). The light link follows only gravity and oil could stick it to the plate. Therfore "don't oil" is written on it. Magnetism can also affect the mobility if the link. But the involved parts should be demagnetized separately, because demagnetizing can damage the magnets on the balance. |
