| Description | Concord Watch Co. Inc. (Biel, founded 1908 by five Swiss entrepreneurs specifically to target the American market) was supplying private-label watches to Tiffany, Cartier, and Van Cleef & Arpels by 1915. In 1970 Gedalio Grinberg's North American Watch Corporation acquired Concord alongside Movado and built it into one of America's best-selling luxury watch brands in the 1980s. Zenith (Le Locle, founded 1865 by 22-year-old Georges Favre-Jacot) was the Swiss co-holder of this code. |
