| Description | Jaeger-LeCoultre and LeCoultre movements imported to the US bore code LXJ. LeCoultre was distributed in the US through the Vacheron & Constantin–LeCoultre division of Longines-Wittnauer Co., Inc., which assembled imported movements and dials into locally produced cases. Watches were marketed in North America under the name 'LeCoultre' (not Jaeger-LeCoultre) from approximately 1932 until the mid-1970s, when the Jaeger-LeCoultre branding was finally adopted in the US market. |
