Lequin Yersin Calibers

Lequin & Yersin (also Lequin-Yersin) was a Swiss pocket watch manufacturer based in Fleurier, canton of Neuchâtel, active in the second half of the 19th century. The firm is documented through fine-quality gold and enamel pocket watches — including pieces made for the Islamic market circa 1880 — that appear in auction records. Their movements exhibit the high levels of hand-finishing typical of the Fleurier tradition of luxury export watches destined for Near and Far Eastern clientele.

Beyond auction appearances the company is poorly documented in standard horological references. It represents one of many specialist Fleurier établisseurs who produced decorative haute-horlogerie pocket watches for wealthy international collectors during the Ottoman and Qajar-era luxury gift trade.
